Hosted by MOFCOM of P.R.China and organized by the Trade Development Bureau of MOFCOM, 2007 Commodities Exhibition of Latin American and Central Eastern European Countries (ICE 2007) solemnly opened in China World Trade Center, in Beijing on Nov 22, 2007. The Assistant Minister of MOFCOM Fu Ziying was present and addressed in the opening ceremony. And the Director General of Trade Development Bureau of MOFCOM (TDB) Feng Hongzhang hosted the ceremony. About 150 enterprises from 16 Latin American and Central Eastern European countries (Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Macedonia, Georgia) attended the exhibition with a total exhibiting area of 5,000 square meters.

The ambassadors, envoys and commercial counselors of the above mentioned countries in China were invited to attend the opening ceremony. Meanwhile the related officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of P. R. China, Ministry of Finance of P. R. China, Ministry of Agriculture of P. R. China, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P. R. China, Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China as well as chambers of commerce and local commercial departments were also invited to the exhibition.

After the opening ceremony, Director-General Feng Hongzhang accompanied Assistant Minister Fu Ziying as well as the guest both home and abroad visited the pavilions. All guests fully affirmed the organizing work of the fair and wished a complete success of the fair.
