| TDB received the visiting South African economic and trade delegation |

The Trade Development Bureau of MOFCOM of P.R.C (TDB) received the visiting economic and trade technological group of South Africa from Sep 16 to 21, 2007 and arranged them to visited the related economic and trade administrations of Sichuan Province, Shanghai Municipal and Beijing Municipal. On the afternoon of Sep 21, the technological group had talks with China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal by-Products, China Chamber of Commerce for Metals Minerals and Chemicals Importers and Exporters, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles and Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation. The Vice Director General of TDB Jia Guoyong attended and presided over the talks.
During the talks, the Deputy Director General Xavier Carim of International Trade and Economic Development Division of Department of Trade and Industry of South Africa said that, taking this opportunity of visiting, he hoped to push the more balanced bilateral trade relations, improve the trade structure and types of investment and accelerate the exports with high added values of the South Africa. And he hoped that the Chinese side could encourage its enterprises, especially the mineral enterprises to invest the productive enterprises in South Africa and therefore improve the production and exports of the high value-added products and establish the sustainable partner relationship of mutual benefits.
